The question is not, "Is it gonna rain?" The question is "How much will it rain or for how long?" When viewing weather forecasts on TV, keep in mind that the stations are reporting from Portland OR. We on the coast are in a different climate zone, but since we have no TV station of our own, no one notices. The Coast range separates us from the Portland/"The Valley" weather (the Coast Range is a different weather zone from us and "The Valley." Headlands along the shore create mini climate zones. In other words, it can be 90 degrees in Portland and 65 degrees on the coast. It can be blue sky in Cannon Beach, and raining in Seaside. Just come prepared for whatever comes.
