Dr. M. H. White
born 1843, West Pt. Iowa
died 1923, in Oregon

Dr. Marcus Hudson White, a pioneer doc ahead of his time, kept accurate records useful for genealogy as well as appreciation for the value of a dollar (then compared to now). He was also an insightful writer, violinist, entrepreneur, and political fanatic. His writings shed light on how we got to where we are as well as thought about where we need to be. He was born in West Pt. Iowa to Hosea White Jr and Mary Ann (Hudson) White.

Peregrine Marcus Vorpahl Hudson White (AKA Pete White, Perry V. White) not much for writing but he could tell a story and taught his kids all the necessary survival skills - how to track wild animals, be safe in the wilderness, and to shoot a riffle without shooting yourself in the process.

Clive Long an active outdoorsman hiked Larch Mountain 27 times before there was a road, and climbed Mt. Hood.

RT Walls, the son of a homesteader and a man who turned his back on civilization. He lived a quiet life in tune with nature. Every visit with him was a lesson.
